CANTERBURY & MARGATE VTS RESIDENTIAL 2005
Introduction
The Residential this year will deal with medico-legal aspects of daily practice and the ethical and moral dilemmas we face.
In an increasingly litigious and complicated Society it would be unusual to navigate a single surgery in General Practice without consideration of these important areas. For this reason and following previous feedback from the group the Aims for this year’s residential are:
• To formally introduce the topic of Medical Ethics & Law to the VTS Curriculum • To facilitate inter-professional learning • To enhance communication skills within challenging consultations • To establish and nourish a ‘Community of learners’
Objectives
We will be working as a group with peers and experts, using real life case based material. There will be time for social exchange, a walk and the benefits of a good hotel.
